Hacker | Halted 2010 Call for Paper Now Open!
Miami will once again play host to the world's finest ethical hackers and security professionals. Hacker Halted by EC-Council will be held at the InterContinental Miami from October 9 - 15, 2010. It promises to up the ante this year with a wider range of technical topics built upon case studies, expert advice from the top minds in the field and the chance to reconnect with other information security specialists from every sector globally.
Hacker Halted would like to announce that the Call for Paper is now open. With the world scrutinizing and looking at the proliferation of Mobile Devices and Cloud Computing, Hacker Halted 2010 will seek to find new revelations in this space. 2010 will see a newly branded track which disallows the speakers from using slides during their presentation: Cut the crap, show me the hack! Delegates attending this track would witness first hand advance hacking demos not shown anywhere else in the world.
Hacker Halted will witness the resumption of the acclaimed Hacker Halted Academy, this time itself with another first: Deep Dive classes where participants will get to learn hands on what the "black hat" community does. EC-Council will also run CEH v7, ECSA/LPT and CHFI v4 certification classes during the Academy.
Since 2004, the global series of Hacker Halted has been successfully organized in different cities, including Myrtle Beach, Dubai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Tokyo. With Miami being the 16th in the series, Europe will be Hacker Halted's next stop. The objective of the global series of Hacker Halted conferences is to raise international awareness towards increased education and ethics in Information Security.
